Name: Tiffany Torres
The Basics: I was born and raised right here in this beautiful city of Saint Paul. I am the mother of three amazing children. I have been with the Saint Paul Athletic Club since April 2013. I started at the front desk and after a couple of promotions I am currently the Membership Director.
Job Title/Company: Membership Director/ Saint Paul Athletic Club
Current Diet/Fitness Routine: I have always struggled with weight. I struggled so hard and so long that in the summer of 2009 I decided to have weight loss surgery. The day of my surgery I weighed in at my all time high at 267 lbs. The surgery was mostly a success. I lost half of my body weight in the first two years. Since then my weight has fluctuated between 140-160 lbs. As a busy mother of three, my eating habits are awful! I spend very little time thinking about what I am eating and I have an obnoxious Starbucks habit! I tend to drink most of my calories throughout the day. While I struggle with diet, exercise comes much easier to me. My issue with exercise is staying consistent. With a special needs child, work, and my own health issues, there is always a reason/excuse for me to skip a workout.
Fitness Goal: I'd like to reach a body fat percentage of 22%. I want to be able to go play with my kids and keep up with them. I want to not be tired after walking up three flights of stairs. I want to look good naked ;).
What inspired me to start on the SPAC journey: The reason I am doing this is my children. I want to set a good example for them and ultimately make sure that I do everything that I can to be as healthy as I can so that I can support them throughout their life. I am thrilled to be taking this journey with my coworkers/friends! I believe doing this with a group of women I know and love makes this endeavor exciting. Not to mention, we will hold each other accountable! We can do this!
