Reaching your goals is easier than you think when you work with a Personal Trainer.

Our nationally certified training staff can assist you with weight loss, improving body composition, increasing your performance in a sport, or rehabilitation from an injury.

We also offer specialized fitness analysis services to help you determine your current fitness and body composition level.  Personal Training can be done one-on-one and at a time and day convenient to your schedule and needs.  Already have a workout partner?  Semi private sessions allow you the same personalized attention with a trainer, but at a lower price point and with the added bonus of working out with a friend.

Our trainers are on a four level system based on education and experience; rates vary depending on the trainer level, length of session, and number of sessions you purchase.  Sessions are 50 or 30 minutes.

Personal Swim Training

Private swim training sessions are available in our historic pool for our Executive Members.  A personalized program is designed to meet your needs whether you are a novice just learning to swim, or a triathlete looking for a competitive edge.  Improve your technique, master a stroke, and get a great cardiovascular workout when you become proficient through private training.


Masters Swim Program

Masters Swimming is designed for those who swim at a scheduled practice time(s) with the benefit of group and individual coaching.  Each workout is designed to be fun and exciting as well as improve your technique.  Click here for the current class and pool schedule.

Sarah Baumert

Personal Yoga Trainer

BACKGROUND: Sarah Baumert is known for her thorough and diverse methods of instruction, her dedication to holding space for individual’s personal discovery and her investment in building personal relationships with her students. Sarah is a dedicated somatic practitioner with a history of exploring movement and the physical body. From an early age, Sarah’s training as a dancer introduced her to the mind body connection and the power that comes from the awareness of a precise alignment of the body. Sarah provides a combination of practical and whimsical elements in her teaching, resulting in a structured, safe atmosphere where students can play, explore, and re-energize.

Sarah's teaching is alignment based, unhurried, and rich with somatic inquiries. Her teaching helps deepen your sense of how to move, teaching you strategies for reducing effort and pain, and gaining coordination. She has experience working with bodies suffering from chronic pain, injury, illness, and other forms of disease. Sarah works with a variety of populations including athletes, seniors, artists, dancers, children, those who struggle with depression, and those recovering from injury. 

Sandra Anderson

Personal Yoga Trainer

BACKGROUND: Sandra has always been a very active person. First she played
softball, then she participated in Track, then Volleyball, then long
distance running and then yoga in 2004. The more yoga she practiced yoga,
the better she felt so yoga simply just became a huge part of her life. In
the Fall of 2013 she decided to take a power vinyasa yoga teacher training
and it changed her life. She is so happy to be able to guide other yogis
through this beautiful practice of yoga. So far in Sandra's yoga journey
she has experienced Bikram, Lyengar, Vinyasa, and Kundalini.

INTERESTS: In her spare time she loves to create art, listen to music,
dance, play with her cats, spend time with friends, bike, be outdoors and
pretty much anything that's funny/light hearted.

Jami Bauer


Jami Bauer has over 20 years of experience in the fitness industry with 9 years as an ACE certified personal trainer. Jami has a diverse and extensive background in sport and education. She is a certified tennis professional and played at the collegiate level and has coached and taught tennis lessons for over 20 years. Jami is also a certified occupational therapist, which adds to her expertise in health and wellness. Jami specializes in injury rehabilitation, weight management, sport specific training and general fitness. Jami believes in improving clients’ quality of life as an educator,motivator and designer of personalized fitness programs and strives to make programs engaging, successful and fun. In her free time she enjoys hiking, reading, playing tennis, walking her dog Daisy and spending quality time with family and friends.

Jami is also a published poet and author. Her book Sports For Life; The Fruits of Play and Competition, is an inspirational and motivational book for the young and young at heart.

Elena Jacobsen

Elena JacobsenAquatics Director at SPAC, has a long rich history in swimming and athletic training. Elena spent many years competing for the Soviet Union Olympic Swim Team and has won many competitions. Her sport naturally took her from competition, to education, and now to coaching andshe has been working with clients for the past 30+ years. She continues to coach a wide range of clients from competition-level athletes to first-time gym members.

Elena holds a Ph.D. in Exercise Education, Masters in Kinesiology, Bachelors in Exercise Science/ Physical Therapy, and is a certified personal trainer though ACE and NASM. 

Elena’s real passion is bringing out the absolute best out of every client. Her personal approach to every individual helps to reach her clients goals and their highest potential. Elena specializes in athletic performance, injury rehabilitation, and general fitness regardless the age.

Michael Zuehl

Michael Zuehl is a University of Montana graduate with a B.S. in Health and Human Performance Exercise Science. He has extensive knowledge of the human body and personal fitness. Michael’s passion is in helping people live a healthier happier life. He has experience working with a variety of individuals from first time gym goers to elite athletes. Michael specializes in weight loss, lean muscle mass and strength gain, sports specific, special population, and overall health and fitness training. He is passionate about clients and their goals both inside and outside of the gym. Using his background in exercise physiology, nutrition and sports medicine, Michael implements both physical exertion and personal nutritional coaching into his programs. Michael delivers attentive, personalized, and detailed training sessions, specific to each client’s goal. He grew up a three sport athlete playing soccer and basketball, as well as running track. In his leisure time he enjoys being outdoors playing a variety of sports and staying active.

Matt Hanson

Your health is precious and you only get one body, so take care of it! I believe in comprehensive health and fitness, making sure that my clients have all of the resources possible to improve their health, performance, and quality of life. My areas of emphasis are strength training and body composition, I teach people how to become stronger and more capable. I have been training clients since 2010 and training Is the only full time job I have ever had. 

My personal fitness goals revolve around strength training, I compete on a national level in Powerlifting and was the USPA Minnesota State champion among all weight classes. My passion for strength and fitness gives me the opportunity to go to my favorite place every day, the gym!

Nicholas Pugliano

Certifications:  ISSA (Fitness Trainer, Specialist in Strength & Conditioning), CrossFit Level 1.

Nicholas is a University of Minnesota graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, with a special focus on Biomechanics.  Nick’s knowledge of fitness and training stem from a highly diverse background of physical activity.  A self-proclaimed “bucket-list” guy, Nick has cycled across the United States, run ultra-trail marathons in the Italian Alps and snowboarded a majority of the iconic mountains in the U.S., Canada and Western Europe. 

Most recently, he served as an Infantryman with the 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team, deploying to both Afghanistan and Lithuania.  Due to the extreme nature of Nick’s activities, he is no stranger to injury.  It is those injuries that fuel his ambitions of being a physical therapist.  Nick is passionate about restorative movement and mobility.  While Nick has always used fitness as a mechanism for extracting the most from life, he believes that mobility and stability are essential for long-term health and wellness.   Above all, Nick believes that fitness should be fun.  His training sessions are creative and diverse, exposing the client to a number of different modalities.  The goal is to identify something that clicks, and then fold in movements that address specific weaknesses and or limitations.
